ISLAMABAD – Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi will visit Pakistan today May 9.
He is visiting as a special envoy of the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrehman bin Jassim Al Thani.
During the visit, he will call on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
A day earlier, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov has arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official visit to Pakistan.
He was accorded a warm welcome on arrival. During the visit, Bakhtiyor Saidov will call on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss bilateral ties.
He will also hold in-depth talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on a wide range of bilateral issues of mutual interest, with special focus on trade and connectivity.
The new government has put its focus on attracting foreign investment in order to drive the country out of economic challenges and improve its foreign reserves.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has confirmed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to Pakistan is on cards.
