Islamabad’s Cattle Market Locations announced for Eid-ul Adha 2024

ISLAMABAD – Pakistanis are excited for Eid ul Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice that is celebrated every year by Muslims worldwide. In Pakistan, the festival is marked by the Qurbani animals, usually goats, sheep, cows, or camels.

For animals sale, special markets known as Bakra Mandi are set up in various cities including in capital Islamabad couple of weeks before Eid ul-Adha. Bakra Mandis are bustling with people who visit to purchase animals for the sacrifice.

Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation approved establishment of at least six cattle markets in capital for Eid ul-Adha for 2024. In this regard, three large markets will be located in Sangjani, I-15, and I-12.

Three other smaller markets will be setup at Islamabad Expressway, Bara Kahu, and Sultana Foundation. These markets will operate from the 1st to the 13th of Zil Hajj and will charge Rs. 500 for large animals and Rs. 250 for small animals.
