Saudi Crown Prince MBS visit to Pakistan ‘on the cards’ for mega investment deals

ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has confirmed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to Pakistan is on cards.

Addressing a press conference, the deputy prime minister said that the dates of the Saudi crown prince will be finalized in the upcoming days.

If the visit materializes, it would mark the first bilateral visit of the Saudi Crown Prince to Pakistan since 2019.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has reportedly directed for preparations for the expected visit.  It is hoped that major investment decisions worth $5 billion would be finalized during the visit.

The investment agreements will pave the way to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.

During the press conference on his recently concluded visits to Saudi Arabia and Gambia, Finance Minister Dar also urged Pakistani businessmen to take advantage of vast business opportunities in African countries.

Stressing the need to focus on economic diplomacy, Ishaq Dar said Pakistan can export surgical goods, pharmaceuticals and other products to the African nations and earn foreign exchange.
