In a troubling incident unfolding in Hazro, Attock, a heated dispute between friends escalated into violence, resulting in one individual being shot and injured. According to a police spokesperson, the altercation erupted on Tuesday along the Malho-Daman road within the jurisdiction of the Hazro Police Station.

Reportedly, Raheem Jameel, aged 23, engaged in a verbal altercation with his friend over what authorities described as a “pity dispute,” near a cricket ground. The situation quickly escalated, culminating in Jameel firing two shots at his friend before fleeing the scene with his pistol. The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and later transferred to District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi due to the severity of his injuries.

Meanwhile, in separate incidents across the district, law enforcement officials were kept busy with a series of arrests related to violent crimes. In Attock Saddar, police apprehended a man identified as Sohail for allegedly fatally shooting his cousin, Ehsan Ali, during a family feud. Sohail reportedly forced his way into Ali’s residence, where he unleashed a barrage of gunfire, resulting in Ali’s tragic demise.

In another case, Hassanabdal Police successfully apprehended a car driver accused of causing a fatal motorcycle accident days earlier. Amant Ali lost his life when the suspect, identified as Umair Khan from Haripur, recklessly collided with his motorcycle and fled the scene. However, police were able to track down Khan using the car’s registration number, leading to his arrest.
