LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday demolished two buildings in Lahore for violation of building bylaws. The LDA carried out demolition operation in Samanaabad and Gulshan-e-Ravi.
LDA also sealed more than 10 buildings in Gulshan-e-Ravi for not paying commercialization fees. The sealed premises include private school and shops. As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before carrying out the operation.
Director Town Planning-I Ayesha Mutahir supervised the operation which was carried out with the help of heavy machinery, enforcement teams and Police. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of building and parking bylaws, encroachments and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
