The unknown abductors, it may be recalled, had on Friday abducted the Session Judge Waziristan tribal district on gun point prompting the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to initiate quick efforts for the early recovery of the senior judge.
The senior judicial officer of Waziristan was on his way from Tank district to DI Khan when armed bandits intercepted his vehicle at Garram Mohabbat area of Kulachi Tehsil and kidnapped the judge at gunpoint.
Adviser to KP chief minister on Information, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, while talking to media confirmed Judge Marwat’s safe recovery saying he has been moved to his home safely adding, “Further details about the incident will be released later on”. The police said that security forces conducted an operation in Kulachi area of DI Khan last night which made the judge’s safe recovery possible
Following the incident, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) registered a first-information report (FIR) against unidentified men which was lodged by judge’s driver Sher Ali who along with the judge’s gunman was left unharmed by the militants though they had set official vehicle on fire.
