MQM proposes reforms to curb street crimes

MQM has proposed constitutional reforms to curb street crimes in Karachi. MQM’s provincial assembly member Najam Mirza, while addressing a 10-day training workshop organized by the Women’s Media Center Karachi. He said that MQM was not consulted regarding the governorship. Governor Sindh is only Kamran Tessori.

A Strong leadership will only emerge in the future through a strong system of local bodies. MQM leaders said that the Prime Minister and Chief Minister have schedules, but the Mayor does not have any schedule.

Talking about the situation in the city, Najam Marza said that under the NFC, financial resources should be distributed to the grassroots level and local governments should be empowered.Media students also participated in this session on Freedom of Expression Digital Media and Online Freedom in Karachi. This workshop will continue until May 5th.
