KARACHI – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi took swift action over poor performance of the Pakistan women’s cricket team against the West Indies women’s cricket team on Thursday.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Khan announced the immediately dissolved the existing selection committee responsible for the women’s cricket team.
In light of the team’s recent setbacks, the PCB conducted a thorough analysis of the selection committee’s performance.
As a result, a new 7-member selection committee has been swiftly formed to oversee the selection process for the women’s cricket team.
The new selection committee comprises former cricketers including Abdul Razzaq, Asad Shafiq, and former women cricketers Asmavia Iqbal and Marina Iqbal, among others.
Besides it, interim head coach of Women’s Cricket Mohsin Rashid along with Women’s Cricket Team Captain Nida Dar and former cricketer Batool Fatima will serve as members of the newly constituted selection committee.
The PCB has also issued directives for the immediate selection of the best coach for the women’s cricket team, emphasizing the importance of swift action in improving the team’s performance.
The newly formed selection committee has been tasked with promptly assuming their responsibilities and implementing necessary changes to enhance the performance of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team.
