Senior provincial ministers including Ghulam Muhammad, Haji Rahmat Khaliq, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Information Imaan Shah, and Provincial Government Spokesperson Faizullah Farooq held a press conference after the Gilgit-Baltistan Cabinet meeting. They announced that decisions were made during the cabinet meeting regarding various key issues.

One significant decision was the termination of Section 4 applied to Shandur Road in 2021, replacing it with Section Four for the implementation of new rates in 2023 for compensations on Shandur Road as per the new rates. This decision came in response to public demand to ensure payments for land compensations on Shandur Road are made according to the new rates of 2023. The provincial cabinet accepted the public demand and terminated Section Four applied in 2021.

Moreover, in the cabinet meeting, approval was granted to allocate land for a military foundation hospital in Ghizer Gupis. Additionally, following last year’s incident where the son of a slain inspector was recruited, relaxation was provided for educational qualifications of police martyrs’ heirs in line with police department requirements.

Furthermore, the cabinet resolved to address issues regarding doctors and paramedical staff recruitment in Cardiac Hospital, ensuring their services are retained by rectifying legal deficiencies.
