President Raisi flies back to Iran after wrapping up Pakistan visit

KARACHI – President of Iran Dr Ebrahim Raisi left for Iran from Karachi airport Wednesday morning after completing his three-day visit of Pakistan.

Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Federal Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada saw off the Iranian President and his delegation at the Karachi airport.

A day earlier, he reached Karachi after concluding his visits to Lahore and Islamabad. The Iranian president spent a busy day in the port city where he paid respects at Quaid’s Mazar, held meetings with chief minister, governor and business community.

Governor Sindh Mohammad Kamran Khan Tessori, acting as the chancellor of the University of Karachi, bestowed an honorary Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) upon the Iranian president in recognition of his significant contributions to strengthening bilateral relations.

Addressing the audience, Governor Tessori expressed the university’s pride in conferring this honor upon the Iranian president, emphasizing the importance of fostering strong ties among Muslim nations.

He reiterated his commitment to enhancing Pakistan-Iran relations and invited Iranian business leaders to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, highlighting the country’s favorable and business-friendly environment.

Governor Tessori encouraged Iranian investors to participate in projects under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), extending a warm welcome to their collaboration.
