Punjab govt appoints Ahmad Aziz Tarar as Secretary Information

The Punjab government appointed Ahmad Aziz Tarar as secretary information department on Tuesday.

Ahmad Aziz Tarar, who is a BS-20 officer, had been serving as Member, Planning and Development Board of Punjab.

Mr. Tarar replaced Mr. DanyalSaleemGilani, a BS-19 officer, who had been looking after the affairs of the Punjab Information and Culture Department as a secretary.

According to the notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department, Mr. Gillani was directed to the Services & General Administration Departmentfor further orders.

In a related development, Ms. RubinaAfzal, who had been serving as Director General, Public Relations was also transferred with immediate effect and directed to report to her parent Department: Directorate General of Public Relations, Punjab, for further orders.

The provincial government had given additional charge of the DGPR to Mr. Ahmad Aziz Tarar.

“Mr. Ahmad Aziz Tarar (PAS/BS-20), Secretary to Government of the Punjab, Information & Culture Department, Government of the Punjab is hereby assigned the additional charge of the post of Director General, Public Relations, Punjab in addition to his own duties for a period of three months or till the posting of a regular incumbent, whichever is earlier,” read the notification issued by the S&GAD department.
