Staff Reporter Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) MQM P convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said on Wednesday that his party cooperating in every way with government in fight against the coronavirus. Addressing the media Siddiqui urged the people to keep extra careful, adding that prevention is better than cure. He was flanked by fellow party leaders Amir Khan, Kunwar Naveed Jameel, Khwaja Izharul Hasan, Nasreen Jalil, Waseem Akhtar and Faisal Sabzwari. He announced that MQM-P’s lawmakers and Mayors and deputy mayors and town chairmen will donate their one month salary in Coronoavirus Relief Fund. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi also said that all party offices will be closed for one week. He said that although 18th March is day when the party was formed but due to grave situation around the country and the world we are not celebrating our birth anniversary The MQM-P leader appreciated the Sindh government’s decision of banning public gatherings. MQM P will provide rations to the family of victims if needed, said Siddiqui. Siddiqui said his party had always worked to strengthen democracy, adding that, “We presented urban Sindh’s problems to the federal government and signed two agreements.” He said that the city’s local government will fulfill its duties and facilitate the masses in every way. “The MQM-P Mayor has been directed to provide available resources in tackling the virus threat.”
