In response to growing concerns over the proliferation of vehicles with tinted windows in South Waziristan, District Police Officer Farman Ullah has directed law enforcement to initiate a crackdown targeting such vehicles across the district.
According to SHO Waheed Wazir of Spin Dam Police Station, under the special instructions of DPO Farman Ullah, blockades will be erected at strategic locations, including Wana Bazar, to enforce the removal of tinted windows from vehicles. It has been emphasized that no exceptions will be made, and vehicles found with tinted windows will be thoroughly inspected and cleaned.
In a statement to Dawn on Saturday, police officials urged vehicle owners to proactively remove tinted windows from their vehicles to avoid penalties. Failure to comply will not be tolerated, they warned. The decision to launch the crackdown comes following numerous complaints from the public regarding the increasing use of vehicles with tinted windows.
