Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 16 outlaws from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of DIG Operations Islamabad Syed ShehzadNadeemBukhari, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the Aabpara police team arrested two accused namely UsmanGhani and Zeeshan Pervez and recovered 720 gram hashish and one dagger from their possession. The Shalimar police team arrested an accused namely Maratab Ali and recovered 1060 gram hashish from his possession.
Likewise, the Golra police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Aqib and Muhammad Awais involved in illegally selling petrol. The Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Naqeeb Khan and recovered one 9mm pistol from his possession.
Similarly, the Noon police team arrested three accused namely Sher Ali, Liaqat Ali and SherAfzal involved in illegally selling petrol. The Shams Colony police team arrested three accused namely Qaim Ali, UmerHafeez and Muhammad Asif and recovered 1065 grams of hashish and one dagger from their possession.
Moreover, the Phulgran police team arrested an accused namely Amjad and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
The Shahzad Town police team arrested an accused namely Hamid Shah and recovered 3600 gram hashish from his possession.
