KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan saw a slight increase of Rs500 per tola on Friday amid international upward trend a day after registering losses.
According to Sarafa Association, the price of per tola gold surged by Rs500 to settle above Rs250,000. The per tola price closed at Rs250,700 in Pakistan.
The precious metal’s price increased by $5 to surge to $2,400 per ounce in international market as investors showed interest in buying gold amid Middle East crisis.
On Thursday, gold prices in Pakistan dropped by Rs1,700 per tola after registering gains in three previous sessions to hit all-time high level.
According to Sarafa Association, the gold price decreased by Rs1,700 to close at Rs250,200 in Pakistan as compared to previous day’s rate f Rs251,900 per tola. The rate of 10-gram gold dropped by Rs1,458 to reach Rs214,506.
