Sindh govt decides to expand, restore ShahbazQalandar’s shrine

Chief Secretary Sindh Syed AsifHaider Shah presided a meeting to discuss arrangements for the expansion and restoration of LalShahbazQalandar’s shrine. The meeting was attended by the secretaries of municipal services and works, the commissioner of Hyderabad, deputy commissioner of Jamshoro, and the administrator of Waqf, among others. During the meeting, the Department of Waqf briefed on the ongoing development projects at LalShahbazQalandar’s shrine. It was announced that a new road would be constructed from nearby areas to the shrine.

Chief Secretary Sindh emphasized the need to eradicate all forms of encroachment in the city and instructed officials accordingly.

Furthermore, plans were discussed to establish parking plazas for better traffic management in the city.

Existing bus stands will also be utilized effectively. Instructions were given to ensure timely completion of water supply and sanitation schemes, along with the directive to formulate a master plan for the city of Sehwan.

The master plan will encompass roads, traffic management, healthcare, and sanitation, among other sectors. Chief Secretary Sindh stressed the importance of maintaining the quality of work at the shrine and ensuring accessibility to all facilities for visitors. Additionally, plans are underway to establish a Rapid Response Center and a mega storage facility for medicines in Sehwan.

The management within the shrine premises will also be improved, as instructed by Chief Secretary Sindh to the Chief Administrator of Waqf.
