New traffic challan rate for helmet violation in Lahore

LAHORE – Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Amara Athar has directed the officials to impose heavy fines on motorcyclist, who are not using helmets.

CTO said no one be allowed to ride motorcycles in Lahore without safety helmet, adding that from today motorcyclist will not be allowed to use Mall road and other main roads.

She said a crackdown will be launched on various roads, including Canal Road, Jail Road, against those riding bikes without helmet.

She said that Rs2,000 challan will be issued to the motorcyclist for not wearing helmets in Lahore.
