The Deputy Ambassador of Iran in Kabul said that opponents of the Islamic Emirate who live as refugees in Iran are not allowed to engage in political activities.
The Arg in a statement wrote that the Iranian diplomat, during his meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, emphasized that Tehran is working to pave the way for positive interactions between the Islamic Emirate and regional countries.
“Both sides assured each other that they would not allow their territory to be used against neighboring countries for any political or military movements,” said the head of the media directorate of the political deputy PM, Mohammad Hassan Haqyar.
In the meeting, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir also stated that Tehran’s attack on Israel was Iran’s legitimate right to defense.
He also emphasized the development of Kabul-Tehran relations, adding that the Islamic Emirate seeks good interactions with all neighboring countries.
“Iran and Afghanistan share a common border and have deep relations with each other that can never be eradicated, hence they [Iranians] do not want to support the political opponents of the [Islamic Emirate],” said Shamsur Rahman Ahmadzai, political analyst.
“The government has managed to normalize its relations with neighbors over the past few years; we can mention China, which even accepted the ambassador of the Islamic Emirate,” said Salim Paigir, another political analyst.
The deputy ambassador of Iran also stressed that while facilitating the implementation of agreements made in various fields between Iran and the Islamic Emirate, Iran is ready to cooperate in economic, commercial, and health sectors with Afghanistan.
The Islamic Emirate’s Deputy Ministry of Justice Abdul Ghani Fayeq met with Iran’s high-ranking judicial delegation headed by Kazem Gharib Abadi, the secretary of the High Council for Human Rights of Iran, where he discussed the transportation of Afghan detainees from Iran.
RTA quoted Kazem Gharib Abadi as saying that his country is committed to transferring Afghan prisoners from Iran to Afghanistan and providing facilities to Afghan refugees in his country.
“There is a need to have connections with each other in judicial, legal and consulate areas. Considering the mass number of the Afghan nationals living in Iran, it is important that the judicial system of Iran and Afghanistan be in contact,” Gharib said.
Fayeq urged Iran to cooperate with the Islamic Emirate in various fields.
“The delegation met with various institutions in a bid to increase trust building and solve the problems of Afghanistan,” he said.
“The issues between Iran and Afghanistan in general are focusing on the problems of the refugees and the detainees who are detained on charges of some allegations,” said Zabiullah Mujahid, Islamic Emirate’s spokesman.—Tolonews
