Pak Sarzameen Party Chairman Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday out-rightly rejected PPP-led Sindh government’s move of creating more districts on ethnic grounds for its personal gains. “PPP government was hatching conspiracy to divide Sindh,” Kamal said in a crowded press conference at his party head office – Pakistan House. President Anis Qaim Khani, members of the Central Executive Committee and National Council were also present on the occasion. “The provincial government’s style of politics is tantamount to dividing Karachi, the provincial capital. This will serve the cause of anti-Sindh forces. PSP will not let anyone to sow hatred among Sindhis. In order to keep Sindh intact, it is crucial to intact Karachi as one unit.” he said. If more districts were needed to be created in accordance with population in the metropolis, they should be created in the most populous districts – e Central, East and Korangi districts, he said. Kamal strongly condemned the provincial government’s move [of creating new districts on ethnic grounds] and said PSP will not accept this division at any cost. He called for the restoration of Karachi as one district. No metropolitan city anywhere in the world is divided in such a way. “In order to keep Sindh united, Karachi must remain united, instead of breaking Karachi into districts, towns should be created on administrative grounds. If PPP wants to gain popularity in Karachi, it should serve people and win their hearts, rather being bent upon conquering the land.” He said that there should be no politics on coronavirus and appreciated the CM Sindh for taking precautionary steps to protect people from the deadly global pandemic. The PSP chief extended his party’s resolve and commitment to supporting provincial authorities in all activities to protect people from the virus. Kamal said the profiteers have started hoardings of masks and sanitizers and strongly condemned the exercise. He said that a day earlier, a delegation of Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) called on him raised their concerns. Kamal said government is providing support to builders around the world but this is not the case in Sindh. ABAD members do not construct the building illegally, but after taking the NOC from all the eighteen concerned organizations. The builders’ mafia does illegal constructions. He said MQM should refrain from talk tournament and announce the date of its march towards the CM House. “PSP is all set to facilitate them.”
