Two citizens lost their lives in Karachi’s Metroville area while resisting a robbery, resulting in the looting of over Rs 10.3 million. Sher Alam and Zakir, workers of a poultry farm, were targeted while en route to deposit cash in a bank.
Dupty Inspector General of Police (DIG) South, Syed Asad Raza, disclosed that the assailants, well-prepared and armed, fatally shot the victims during the attempted robbery.
The robbers fled on a motorcycle after seizing the cash, leaving behind five 9mm shells. As investigations proceed, police suspect insider involvement due to the assailants’ knowledge of the victims’ route and timing.
Measures are being taken to secure crucial evidence, including geo-fencing the crime scene, to bring the perpetrators to justice.
