Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 16 outlaws including six professional beggars from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of DIG Operations Syed ShahzadNadeemBukhari, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the Golra police team arrested an accused namely Alif S Hasrat and recovered 20 liters of liquor from his possession. The Khanna police team arrested eight gamblers namely Muhammad Adnan, Ehsan Ali, Muhammad Adil, Muhammad Irfan, Adnan, Kamran Siddique, Muhammad Naeem, and Imran and recovered cash and gambling tools from their possession.
Likewise, the Koral police team arrested an accused namely Sami Ullah and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
