ISLAMABAD – Pakistani nationals are required to get a Schengen short-term visa to visit the European country of Sweden as a tourist.
Coastal islands and inland lakes, along with vast boreal forests and glaciated mountains have made the country top destinations for tourists.
The Swedish Embassy is handling Schengen visa applications for citizens of Pakistan and Afghanistan and persons legally residing in Pakistan.
Citizens and residents in Pakistan who want to apply for a Schengen visa to visit Sweden are, from 19 June, referred to hand in their application at VFS Global in Bangkok, Yangon, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Cebu, Jakarta, Bali, Phnom Penh, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.
Minimum Bank Balance For Sweden Visa
Applicants are required to submit bank statements showing transactions in the last six months along with the visa application to prove they have sufficient funds for their stay in Sweden.
Following is the minimum daily required amount for bearing expense of stay in Sweden. An applicant is required to show the amount which is enough for the days he/she intends to spend there:

The applicants must hold EUR 2,400 in their bank account if their stay in Sweden is for 30 days. As of April 4, 2024, one Euro is equal to 299.9 Pakistani rupees.
Therefore, the applicants are required to have minimum Rs700,000 in bank accounts for their stay in the European country.
