The Sindh Health Department reveals that during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, 824 doctors were appointed for a period of 89 days, along with assigning responsibilities to 324 nursing staff. The department sent suitable recommendations for nursing staff to the Sindh Public Service Commission. Out of the 324 recommendations, 260 nursing staff were deemed suitable by the commission.
Results regarding doctors are still pending from the commission. The Sindh Cabinet approves the extension of contracts for 705 medical officers, 287 nursing staff, 374 technical staff, and 2957 supporting staff until June 30, with an estimated expenditure of Rs 2 billion.
