CEO Karachi Water Corporation Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has issued directives for special water supply arrangements throughout the city during the occasion of Eidul-Fitr. In coordination with local authorities and community representatives, Karachi Water Corporation aims to ensure seamless water supply and sanitation services, especially around Eidgahs, mosques, Imambargahs, and schools. Measures include thorough cleaning of open manholes and sewage overflow to maintain cleanliness and prevent any inconvenience to citizens. Additionally, instructions have been given to address sewage overflow issues, particularly around central roads and public areas.
The corporation will also provide water tankers to meet the drinking water needs of citizens during the Eid holidays. Engineer Ahmed has instructed all chief engineers and superintendent engineers to ensure uninterrupted water supply and provide duty rosters for staff during the public holidays. Executive engineers have been directed to keep all machinery ready round the clock and ensure the smooth operation of water suction and jetting machines by ensuring the presence of drivers. Engineer Ahmed emphasized that no compromises will be made in Eid preparations, as providing better facilities to citizens remains their top priority.
