PESHAWAR – More rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday evening/night and Thursday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a shallow westerly wave lies over upper parts of Pakistan. It will likely persist during next 24 hours.
Under the influence of these weather conditions, partly cloudy weather is expected in Peshawar and most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday evening/night and Thursday. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Buner, Malakand, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kurram, Bajaur and Khyber during the period.
Peshawar’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 29-31 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 30-32 on Friday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.

Dry weather prevailed elsewhere in the province. Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 34 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 73 per cent.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 30 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 58 per cent.
