PESHAWAR – Rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a shallow westerly wave lies over north western parts of Pakistan. It will likely affect enter upper parts of the country during next 24 hours.
Under the influence of these weather conditions, partly cloudy weather and rains with wind/thunderstorms are likely in Kurrum, Khyber, Bajaur, Peshawar, Naushehra, Mardan, Buner, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Abbottabad and Mansehra on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday, partly cloudy with rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Buner, Malakand, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Peshawar, Haripur, Kalam, Bajod and Khyber.
Peshawar’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 31-33 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and 29-31 C on Thursday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most parts of the province during the last 24 hours.
Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 34 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 36 per cent.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 30 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 31 per cent.
