ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed the desire to work with the United States to achieve the goals of global and regional peace, stability, progress and prosperity.
In a letter to US President Joe Biden, he said that Pakistan has been working with the US in energy, climate change, agriculture, health and education sectors. He said that cooperation between the two friendly states is welcoming. He said that Pakistan valued its ties with the US.
Joe Biden has recently written a letter to the PM to extend felicitation on assuming the coveted office. Joe Biden had vowed that the US would continue to stand with Pakistan in tackling the most pressing global and regional challenges.
“The US will continue to stand with Pakistan to tackle the most pressing global and regional challenges. Through our US-Pakistan ‘Green Alliance’ framework, we will also continue to strengthen our climate resilience, support sustainable agriculture and water management, and assist with Pakistan’s recovery from the devastating floods in 2022,” the US President said.
He added that the US remained committed to working with Pakistan to protect human rights and promote progress. “Together, we will continue to forge a strong partnership between our nations and a close bond between our people”, the letter reads.
