A comprehensive security review meeting took place at the Headquarters Pakistan Rangers Sindh, chaired by Director General (DG) Rangers Sindh Major General AzharWaqas, to evaluate the overall law and order scenario in the city.
According to a spokesperson for the Rangers on Friday, the conference saw the participation of senior officials from various departments, including the Commissioner Karachi, Additional IGP – Karachi, Special Branch, DIGP – CTD, Joint DG Intelligence Bureau, DIGPs from Special Branch, East, South, West, CIA, Traffic, Rangers, and sensitive institutions.
The meeting extensively discussed the security arrangements for upcoming events such as the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (A.S), Easter, the last ten days of Ramadan, and Eid-ul-Fitr, finalizing action plans accordingly. Key points of focus included heightened patrols to tackle street crime, increased snap-checking activities, and the development of a collaborative action plan utilizing modern technology to apprehend criminals effectively.
The participants emphasized the utmost importance of strict adherence to existing laws and codes of conduct, ensuring full compliance with directives issued during the meeting. Law enforcement agencies reiterated their unwavering commitment to maintaining security, with a particular emphasis on combating religious intolerance, forced conversions, extortion, and extremism.
