ISLAMABAD – A man smothered his young sister to death in honor killing incident in Toba Tek Singh.
Such horrific incidents continue to surface as honor killings remain a serious issue in country. The latest incident happened in Chak-477 near Toba Tek Singh, where a man along with his father killed his young sister by smothering her with a pillow and then buried her in haste to cover the crime.
Another brother of deceased, who was present at the crime scene, covertly filmed the incident, capturing young girl’s killing by elder brother identified as Faisal.
The prime accused killed her sister with the help of his father Abdul Sattar. The clip was widely shared online showing killer’s father offering him water after the murder.
A case has been registered under section 302 while both accused have been held. Cops also exhumed the grave of the deceased girl, and post-martem shows fractured bones and torture marks on her body.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz took notice of the incident and directed IGP Punjab Dr Usman to complete legal proceedings and to bring the duo to justice.
