United States Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu made shocking revelations as he trashed Imran Khan’s allegations about Washington’s role in his ouster.

The senior official who remains in the headlines after PTI founder claims, informed Congress that he received death threats since Khan made blasting allegations.

He lamented that unfounded accusations resulted in threats against him and his family, and said local police were involved. In his testimony at a Congressional hearing, Lu stated that the allegations and conspiracy theories regarding his involvement in actions against Imran Khan were fabricated.

He cleared air that the leaked diplomatic cable, known as the cipher, does not accuse the US government or himself of taking any actions against then premier. He also noted that the former Pakistani ambassador to the US has testified to his own government that there was no conspiracy.
