Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 26 outlaws including 10 professional beggars from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the secretariat police team arrested three accused namely Azhar Abbas, Warasat Ali and Shahbaz Niaz and recovered 887 gram heroin from their possession. The Shalimar police team arrested an accused namely Mohsin Masih and recovered 620 gram heroin from his possession.
Likewise, the Golra police team arrested an accused namely Munir involved in illegally selling petrol. The Tarnol police team arrested two accused namely Umar Khan and Gul Zaman and recovered 1,263 gram heroin and one 30 bore pistol from their possession.
