Provincial Minister for Interior, Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, made a significant visit to the Central Police Office (CPO) in Karachi, where he was warmly welcomed by IG Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja, Additional IG Khadim Hussain Rind, and other senior police officials.

During the visit, Minister Lanjar paid tribute to the martyrs by laying flowers at the memorial in the CPO and offering prayers for their elevation. He emphasized the importance of addressing the prevailing law and order challenges, particularly in the upper areas of Sindh and Karachi, stressing the need to intensify efforts against dacoits. Expressing dissatisfaction with the current situation, Minister Lanjar called for a concerted push to rid districts like Kashmore, Ghotki, and Shikarpur of dacoits.

He issued a stern warning to SSPs, indicating that those failing to fulfill their duties would face replacement. Additionally, he emphasized that SSPs would be responsible for the transfer and posting of SHOs, holding them accountable for their performance. During the visit, IG Sindh briefed Minister Lanjar on the progress of the Karachi Safe City Project, highlighting the installation of surveillance cameras under the Sindh Smart Surveillance System (S4) across internal and external routes of Karachi.

This initiative aims to enhance security and promote community policing. Minister Lanjar also toured various departments of the CPO and interacted with newly appointed SSPs from different districts of Sindh. He evaluated the performance of recently promoted SPs through DSPs and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors.
