KARACHI – Islamabad United star player Imad Wasim was sensational in final game against Multan Sultans but the prolific bowler was caught in unwanted situation as he was captured smoking in dressing room.
The 35-year-old found himself in controversy as he was spotted smoking a stick after wicket haul in the Final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9.
He joined his squad members after firing salvo in ground and cameraman captured him holding stick-like thing into his mouth and blowing smoke. Fans assumed to be a cigarette or vape, and clip soon went viral.
Besides the controversy, the dazzling bowler was in his top form in the latter stages of PSL 9, playing a crucial role in several victories for United. His performance in the Final boosted Islamabad United’s chances of clinching another PSL title.
He delivered an outstanding spell, taking five crucial wickets including those of Yasir Khan, David Willey, Johnson Charles, Khushdil Shah, and Chris Jordan. Two of his four overs resulted in double-wickets, showcasing his skill under pressure.
