Degrees and medals were distributed among 232 students during the 12th degree awarding ceremony organized by Punjab University Hailey College of Banking & Finance (HCBF) here on Friday.
The ceremony was attended by former Advisor to chief minister Khawaja Ahmed Hassaan, Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission DrShahidMunir, PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Faculty of Commerce Dean Prof DrMubbasherMunawar Khan, HCBF Principal Dr Ahmed Muneeb Mehta, Registrar Dr Ahmed Islam, faculty members and a large number of students.
Speaking on the occasion, Khawaja Ahmad Hassaan said that the important responsibility has fallen on the shoulders of the students and they have to play their role in the development of the country. He said that smartphones have taken family relationships away from each other. He said that there is no shortcut to experience and we need to get on the track of learning from our elders. He said that students should also play a role in the success of those coming in their field.
DrShahidMunir said that the parents of the students have made a lot of sacrifices for their education. He said that women should enter the practical fields and contribute to the national and domestic economy. He said that students should play a role in strengthening Islamic banking. He said that no nation in the world has developed without women.
