In a bid to prioritize public welfare initiatives in Sindh, Minister of Local Government, Housing Town Planning, Public Health Engineering, and Rural Development, Saeed Ghani, emphasized the need for all works benefiting the public to be prioritized on merit-based grounds.
Ghani announced that within the next one to two days, a meeting of all departments under the Ministry of Local Government would be convened to discuss and finalize the upcoming agenda following detailed briefings from officials. The statement came during Ghani’s visit to the New Sindh Secretariat, where he held discussions with officials. Attending the meeting were Additional Chief Secretary Sindh, Mansoor Shaikh, Secretary Public Health Engineering, Sohail Qureshi, DG SBCA Isahaq Khoro, PD CLK Asif Jan Siddiqui, DG KDA, MD Sindh Solid Waste Management Imtiaz, among others. Ghani reiterated his commitment to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to him by his party for the betterment of the public, stressing the importance of officers fulfilling their duties with complete responsibility and honesty.
With both federal and provincial governments having assumed their respective responsibilities after elections, Ghani underscored the obligation to fulfill promises made to the public. Ghani instructed the additional chief secretary and all departmental officers to prepare detailed reports of their respective departments and assured that comprehensive briefings of all municipal departments would be conducted within the next two days.
