Girls’ equal rights sought

The Society for Human Development organized a program in connection with the International Women’s Day and raised a voice for equal rights. Society for Human Development Chairperson Simon Khursheed, Program Manager Palwasha Basharatwere among the prominent speakers.

Addressing the audience, they said that it is very important for society and personal development that equal rights and facilities should be provided to the girls.

“In today’s era where women are using technology in Europe, are flying the planes, using the heavy machineries and we are now in the same conflict that whether we should allow our girls and women to come out from homes or not, whether we should allow them to keep and use mobile phones or not,” said the speakers.

They said that they needed to provide skills and technical training to both males and females for their growth and societal development.

They further said that the Society for Human Development was playing its role for the development and welfare of the society and it is necessary to take responsibility for the community.
