In a monumental stride towards transformation, the Wana Welfare Association (WAWA) orchestrated a groundbreaking “Mass Enrollment Campaign March” in Lower South Waziristan district on Saturday. The historic rally drew a diverse and enthusiastic crowd, including DC Nasir Khan, district administration officials, students, tribal elders, political representatives, and individuals from various backgrounds. The resonating slogan of the rally, “Every boy and every girl is good at school,” encapsulated the spirit of the event, which aimed to raise awareness about the critical need for education in the region.
Addressing the gathering, DC Nasir Khan emphasized the campaign’s primary objective to enroll children who have been deprived of education in schools. He underscored that education serves as the fundamental solution to societal challenges. DC Nasir Khan also disclosed the district administration’s commitment to revitalize non-functional government education institutions, vowing to hold teachers accountable for their duties.
“The development and prosperity of any nation are impossible without the education of children,” stated DC Nasir Khan, highlighting the pivotal role education plays in shaping the future of Waziristan. He urged parents to enroll their children in educational institutions, asserting that it is the key to ensuring the prosperity of the region.
WAWA President Rehmat Ullah echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that the government’s support in functionalizing educational institutions is crucial. He implored parents to view sending their children to school as a civic duty, confident that such a collective effort would not only transform the area but also usher in development and prosperity.
President Rahmatullah announced WAWA’s commitment to ensuring that no child in Lower South Waziristan would be deprived of education in the next five years.
