Chairman PAEC Muhammad Naeem met DG IAEA, Rafael Grossi here in Vienna and congratulated him on assuming the responsibilities of DG IAEA. Chairman PAEC Muhammad Naeem who is in Vienna to attend BoG meeting, apprised DG IAEA about the enduring cordial relationship of mutual cooperation between Pakistan and IAEA.
PAEC with the help of IAEA is actively engaged in Pakistan for the application of nuclear technology for the socio-economic uplift of the country that include areas such as nuclear power, cancer diagnosis and treatment, agriculture, food preservation, water management and education to name a few. Chairman thanked DG IAEA for the continued cooperation.
DG IAEA appreciated the role and contribution of Pakistan towards applications of nuclear technlogy for human needs and said that the other countries should also follow Pakistan in achieving this goal.
