The Sindh Food Authority team conducted a major crackdown in the Korangi area of Karachi. During the operation, authorities uncovered a warehouse stocked with expired juice and mineral water. A substantial quantity of expired juice packets and mineral water bottles were confiscated from the premises. Prompt action was taken by the Sindh Food Authority team, who promptly disposed of all the expired products on-site. Disturbingly, it was discovered that new labels were being affixed to the expired juice and mineral water bottles within the warehouse.

Accompanied by local police, the Sindh Food Authority remains vigilant in its efforts to combat the sale of adulterated food items. Director General Agha Fakhar Hussain emphasized the Authority’s commitment to ensuring the supply of safe and unadulterated food items, especially during the holy month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak. He issued a stern warning to sellers of adulterated food, cautioning them to cease their activities, as strict action will be taken against violators under the Sindh Food Authority Act.
