539.23m fine charged to 12707 power pilferers

An Anti Power Theft Compaign started during 7th September 2023 is successfully moving ahead in all operation circles of IESCO. Detection teams have full support of government ministry of energy provincial administration and police.

IESCO Chief Dr Muhammad Amjad khan said that during the month of February 2024 311 Power Pilferers apprihanded by our detection teams through out IESCO region and fine of 22.9 million charged and 28 electricity stealers arrested by police.

IESCO Chief further added that from 7th September 2023 detection teams so far apprehended 12707 power Pilferers during checking and fine of 539.23 million charged to them . He said that due to indiscriminate and non stop activities power theft cases and company line losses decreased and company revenue increased. He intended for this commitment that this national Compaign will continue and there will no compromise against power theft. He requested valuable customers to report power theft to relevant sdo office or on help line number 118.—PR
