The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification announcing a reduction in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for March.

According to the notification, the price of LPG has been decreased by 80 paisas per kilogramme.
Additionally, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs9.51 per kg. The new price for the domestic cylinder has been set at Rs3,030, down from Rs3,039 in February.

This price reduction comes as welcome news for consumers, providing some relief amidst ongoing economic challenges. The decrease in LPG prices is expected to have a positive impact on household budgets, particularly for those relying on LPG for cooking and heating purposes.

Meanwhile, the government on Thursday night increased the price of petrol by Rs4.13 per litre and maintained that of high-speed diesel for the next fortnight.

The Finance Ministry stated in a notification that the increase in the prices of petroleum products will be applied from 12 midnight till March 15. Following the significant increase, the new price of petrol is Rs279.75 per litre and Rs287.33 per litre for HSD, it added.—Agencies
