Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and party nominee for prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif has directed the party workers to extend a helping hand towards Gwadar people adversely affected of the recent rain.
Prolonged heavy rain has played havoc in Gwadar city as 168.8 millimeter rain was recorded in the city on Tuesday.
The rain suspended power supply besides resulting in closure of mobile network in various areas. Due to flood situation, three rainwater reservoirs also broke, roof of several houses caved in and walls collapsed in Jiwani. Shehbaz Sharif expressed his concerns over the situation has said that we stand by the affectees in this critical situation.
He directed the PML-N Balochistan activists to make instant arrangements for facilitate the rain affected population.
On the other hand, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also directed he party activists to extend all possible cooperation with the rain affected people of Gwadar.
Balochistan Caretaker Chief Minister, Ali MardanDomki said that PDMA and district administration were engaged in relief activities but they had to face hardships due to inundate link roads.
