A workshop titled “Education System: Role of Educational Assessment & Evaluation” on the importance and implementation of Outcome Based Education (OBE) was held at PirMehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Tuesday.
The workshop was organized by the University Institute of Information Technology with an aim to train the faculty members to implement OBE teaching techniques and methodologies in classes.
This not only improves the teaching skills of faculty members but also enables them to use the latest teaching methodologies and to align their course contents with the growing needs of current industry trends.
Prof. Dr. Ikram Ali Malik, Director, University Institute of Management Sciences (UIMS) of PMAS-AAUR was the keynote speaker in this workshop and delivered a comprehensive talk on this topic.
Dr. Ikram while delivering his lecture, not only explained OBE techniques in detail, but also discussed the ways to deal with the obstacles that could be faced by a faculty member while implementing OBE.
His lecture was followed by an open discussion session and all the faculty members actively participated to discuss the challenges while implementing OBE.
At the end, Prof. Dr. YaserHafeezDirector. University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT) thanked the guest speaker and presented him a shield on behalf of UIIT faculty.
