Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has secured 20 reserved seats for women in the Sindh Assembly, as confirmed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) through a notification for returned candidates on reserved seats. Among other parties, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) obtained six women lawmakers’ seats, while the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) clinched one. Additionally, the PPP secured six minority seats, with the MQM-P obtaining two. The fate of one woman and one minority seat is pending, as the Sunni Ittehad Council has also sought consideration for reserved seats. With independent candidates joining, the PPP’s strength in the Sindh Assembly stands at 113 out of 168 lawmakers, making it the dominant party.

The MQM-P holds the second-largest position with 36 seats, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) backed independent candidates secured victory on 13 general seats, awaiting decisions on their reserved seats. The GDA and Jamaat-e-Islami secured three and one seat(s) respectively.
