In a high-level meeting chaired by Sindh IG Raffat Mukhtar Raja, preparations for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9 were discussed, emphasizing the need for extraordinary security and traffic arrangements. The IG highlighted the current security situation and the challenges ahead, directing comprehensive preventive measures.  He stressed the importance of consultation with law enforcement agencies and stakeholders, including the participation of PCSIR representatives.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that security personnel for the PSL event must be skilled, diligent, and experienced. Furthermore, threats and intelligence must be taken seriously, with preemptive actions taken at all levels. Citizens’ convenience in traffic arrangements was prioritized, ensuring minimal disruption to regular routes.  Additionally, plans were made to facilitate officers and youth with iftar and arrangements for traffic duty during Ramadan.
