So-called security tightened in Rajouri, Poonch ahead of Indian PM’s visit

Authorities have beefed up so-called security across Rajouri and Poonch districts ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jammu.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the In-dian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Jammu on February 20. During his daylong visit, he is scheduled to address a public rally at Maulana Azad Stadium in the heart of Jammu city. Modi will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple projects virtually, interact with the people via video conferencing and deliver job letters to youth.

Indian forces in twin border districts have stepped up vigil days before the expected Jammu visit of the Indian prime minister.

All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leaders have strongly criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the In-dian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Jammu on February 20. APHC leader Mohammad Yousaf Naqash, in a statement issued in Srinagar highlighted the enduring suffering of the Kashmiris due to decades of forced Indian occupation and brutality, with millions sacrificing their lives to resist this occupation.

Quoting Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani’s words, “If India paves our roads with gold instead of tar, we will never accept Indian slavery,” Naqash emphasized that no economic package from India can address the deep wounds inflicted on Kashmiris.—KMS
