Babar Azam, the captain of Peshawar Zalmi, has etched his name in the annals of Pakistan Super League (PSL) history during the second match of the ninth season against Quetta Gladiators at La-hore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

The right-hand batter has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first batsman to amass 3000 runs in the PSL, surpassing any other player who has yet to cross the 2500-run mark.

While chasing a challenging target of 207 runs, the right-handed batsman showcased his exceptional skills by achieving a 29-ball fifty. Despite his impressive performance, scoring 68 runs, Zalmi fell short in their pursuit of the 207-run target set by Gladiators, rendering Babar Azam’s brilliant knock in vain.

Babar’s remarkable feat unfolded over 80 in-nings, where he accumulated a total of 3004 runs at an impressive average of 44.83. His batting prowess is evident in his record, which includes 29 half-centuries and a century.
