Mayor inaugurates top sports hub at Hill Park

Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the Hill Top Sports Arena at the city’s Hill Park, spanning across 62 acres and equipped with cricket and futsal stadium facilities. Following the inauguration, Mayor Wahab engaged in a friendly cricket match with the local youth at the newly opened cricket stadium.

Addressing media representatives after the ceremony, Mayor Wahab highlighted the popularity of cricket, especially during Ramazan, and emphasized the importance of reviving interest in Hill Park and other historic recreational spots in Karachi.

He expressed optimism about the city’s development works commencing after the conclusion of elections, affirming his party’s commitment to ensuring Karachi’s prosperity. Encouraging citizens to participate in positive and healthy activities, Mayor Wahab noted the ongoing efforts of the PPP’s mayor and deputy mayor to serve the city. He expressed hope for a brighter future for Karachi, promising development initiatives across all 25 towns of the city.

Mayor Wahab mentioned the construction of modern sports complexes in various areas, including Kikri Ground, Gizri Football Stadium, and Star Ground Landhi.

Additionally, he referenced former President Asif Ali Zardari’s proposal of the Charter of Economy to the PTI in 2018, stressing the importance of ending political discord and advocating for collaborative efforts among all political parties for the betterment of the country.
