MIRAN SHAH – Former lawmaker and National Democratic Movement (NDM) chief Mohsin Dawar was wounded on Saturday in shooting incident, in what his aides called attack on life of dissent politcian.
Dawar, 39, received bullet when NDM supporters were agitating against the delay in election results, and it triggered cross-firing.
It has been learnt that his aides opened fire at cops and it started firing and shelled tear gas during the protest. Amid the retaliation, Dawar was injured in firing by police officials.
Later, police told media that NDM supporters opened fire at a security camp and the former lawmaker was injured in the leg after law enforcers retaliated. Dawar, the co-founder of human rights movement, PTM, and 3 other NDM people were moved to hospital for medical assistance.
Last month, NDM leader’s convoy was attacked while he was campaigning in Tehsil Miranshah village Tapi. He remained unharmed during an attempt on his life.
