ISLAMABAD – Deadly bombings strike Pakistan on Election Day as millions of voters are heading to polls to vote for the upcoming parliament.
Despite beefed-up security measures and suspension of mobile and internet services, bombs ripped the country killing several people.

On the polls day, at least five police personnel were martyred and two others suffered injuries as the explosion occurred near police vehicle in the Kulachi area in Dera Ismail Khan.
The blast occurred in Garah Aslam area of Kulachi, targeting police vehicle. The deceased and injured have been transferred via chopper.
Police said an improvised explosive device (IED) rocked the security personnel vehicle during the polling process.
The violent incident was latest in series of attacks on security forces and law enforcement agencies deployed during the election 2024.
Earlier in the day, a security official was martyred after unidentified men opened fire at a security forces vehicle in KP’s Tank district.
In Balochistan, Levies official was martyred as a Levies vehicle came under attack in the Kharan district of Balochistan.
The multiple attacks in Balochistan raised concerns for the safety measures in the crisis-hit country.
